Soutik Betal email:
Soutik Betal, Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) have completed his PhD in Electrical Engineering from University of Texas-San Antonio, USA with advisor Dr. Ruyan Guo & Dr. Amar Bhalla. He was a postdoctoral researcher at Alfred University, New York, USA, University of Maryland - Baltimore County, USA and Czech Academy of Sciences, Prague, Czech Republic
Soutik Betal, during his doctoral research at the University of Texas, San Antonio have developed nanocomposite particles that are controlled remotely by an electromagnetic field. This series of nanorobots that are now enlisted in the Guinness World Records, can be used to interact with the biological cells. Scientists suggest that this technology can be used for the treatment of cancer. His research in details can be read through various of his publication Nature & Royal Society of Chemistry journals as well as in his US Patents. Also his research on nanorobotics was published in world renowned news reports as well as scientific articles & bulletins. Currently his research is in collaboration between IIT Delhi, All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) & Indian Spinal Injuries center, New Delhi. Currently his field of research involves Nanorobotics, Medical devices, Bioelectrical Implants, Terahertz devices & MEMS.
